An overview of ISPAI & ISPRC

We are professionally-trained Interventionists, a position in society that has become increasingly more important as the years have gone by. Additionally, it is a position that has great responsibility in the community.” Eddie S & Fran M, Founding Members, ISPAI

ISPAI & ISPRC are autonomous operating units that are governed by the Corporate Laws of The State of California. Their specific purpose is to register and certify individuals to ensure their competence in providing quality all-addiction intervention and recovery coaching services to families in need.

We are a professional group of practical, clear-thinking Clinicians who have put together this specialized grouping of practicing Interventionists and Recovery Coaches. Only currently practicing interventionists and Recovery Coaches may be a part of this specialized society. We are non-denominational in nature. We do not oppose or deny any of the A’s. In fact, we support them all.

ISPAI, ISPRC and Recovery

Our Interventionists make up a wide mixture from all of the different A’s. We feel we are best suited for public benefit if we are organized this way. Our goal is to incorporate as many different perspectives on recovery as possible to give the families that we work with the best chances for success in their own recovery from this devastating disease of addiction.

As professionally-trained and certified Interventionists and Recovery Coaches, our lives are devoted to helping alcoholics and addicts who are still out there suffering as well as those now in on-going recovery.

ISPAI & ISPRC Certification

ISPAI & ISPRC provides certification for qualified individuals who have demonstrated appropriate competent practice, skill and knowledge as professional interventionists. This is accomplished through documentation of:

  • Education
  • Experience
  • Professional growth
  • Passing a valid examination approved by an accredited certifying body reliable in assessing minimum standards of competency as a working interventionist.

Another important function of ISPAI & ISPRC is to keep accurate up-to-date records of which Interventionist’s & Recovery Coach’s certifications are current and which are not. At the time of creation of ISPAI & ISPRC in early 2010, no organization was filling those shoes, so we happily took on this role in an effort to protect future families who are looking to hire competent interventionists and recovery coaches for their loved ones.

The Board of Directors of ISPAI awards the title of ISPAI Certified Interventionist I/II (ISPAI CI-I, ISPAI CI-II) to those individuals meeting the education, experiential, examination, and ethical requirements for professional certification.

The Board of Directors of ISPRC awards the title of ISPRC Certified Recovery Coach I/II (ISPRC CRC-I, ISPRC CRC-II) to those individuals meeting the education, experiential, examination, and ethical requirements for professional certification.
